Merchant Information - 2008

Greetings every one and well met!

Thank you for your interest in the Ravenshire Renaissance and Pirate Faire.

We wish to welcome you to our Kingdom and look forward to working with you for many years.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Merchant Rules
  1. It's a Renaissance Faire! It's a Pirate Faire!
  2. Don't forget that we are open on Friday as always. This is a free student day, open from noon until 6:00 pm.
  3. This web site address is http://www.faires.com/Ravenshire Keep an eye out on this web site for new stuff.
  4. You must be in costume at all times that the gate is open. Please make this a priority; we are running a time period event. Take a look at our Costume Guide. If you need help please give us a call.
  5. Please do your best to be in accent. This is not as important as the costumes but it does add to the atmosphere
  6. All non-period equipment in your booth must be out of site and hearing of the patrons. Please keep all phones turned off or on vibrate mode.
  7. Your booth must be a period tent, wooden booth, or canvas awning. You may put up popups with metal legs but please make sure the legs have some kind of fabric sleeves to cover them.
  8. All merchants must have a signed Hold Harmless Agreement on file with us.
  9. Set up times are Thursday August 21st, 8:00 am - midnight, and Friday August 22nd until 11:00 am.
You must check in at the front gate and they will give you your passes and your site assignment. Please see the site map for details on set up.
  10. The gate times for this year are as follows: Friday 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm; Saturday 10:00 am to 8:00 pm; Sunday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
  11. This year we again need a few additional things from all of the merchants: Food Merchants - In addition to your application and fees I also need (1) a copy of your food handlers license, (2) a copy of your menu, (3) insurance.
    All Other Merchants - insurance.
  12. We are staying open late on Saturday night as usual. Since it does not get fully dark until about 8:30 that time of year there should be no need for everyone to light their booths.
    Any Questions? Please call.

Insurance

We understand that not all of you have insurance. If you do not have insurance please make a note in the box on the application and we will contact you. However if you do carry insurance please make sure to send a copy of it for our records.

Hold Harmless Agreement

Over the years we have noticed that some of our merchants have not filled one of these out. They are usually the merchants that apply bye e-mail. To fix this problem we now have this form on the web site. You can now print the form and send it along with your fees. If you are sending in a paper application one of these forms is included.
