The Commercial The Directorie is free. We intend to keep it that way as long as possible. After all, the purpose is to help bring individuals and faires together. But the cost of running a website on a good server has increased and our income has decreased over the seven years since the Directorie was established. Without some Directorie income to help pay for the costs of running the site it might be necessary to change it to a subscription system (with some of the content limited to subscribers) or even to close the site. So before we resort to something drastic, we are asking you to consider a small contribution to keep the listings coming. While each listing page has has a contribution box for some time, we have tried to make them innocuous...too much so, perhaps. A total of two people used them in the entire year before this page was added. Combined with sales income we didn't even cover one month's server fees. So we would like to hear from some of the other 99.9% of you who enjoy and benefit from the Directorie. To keep from seeing this page again for the next six months click the button below.
Below you will find a PayPal contribution box. You can use it to contribute easily and securely. Or, as I mentioned above, each listing page has its own PayPal contribution box. You can pick your favorite faire and send through that page.
